AMCANA giving financial aid (scholarship) to the deserving students of
AMC freshmen class.
AMCANA is giving aid of $500.00 per year for a total of $2500.00 for 4 1/2 years/ per student to help them. A total of four applications were received. They were interviewed and their parents were met with in their hometowns. Their applications were evaluated, The principal certified the students' applications. I, Sudhakara Babu Bangaru class of 1964, am supporting one student and I selected one. Umapushpavalli Penugonda is supporting another. She is in the process of selecting her candidate. This whole process of inviting applications and evaluating them was done by the well established tax-exempt organization called Federation for excellence (www.ffe.org ), located in California, in existence sine 1994. They are only a channeling agency matching donors with the students. They distributed so far over $10 million in funds to over 10,000 students, in the schools across India. They charge us no fees. Without their help, our cherished goal of helping poor students from AMC would not have been possible.
I am appealing to our members to come forward and support the students. We are thinking of starting a permanent fund and use the interest to fund this venture, so it would be permanent. Donations to this fund are welcome and are greatly appreciated. --Sudhakara Babu Bangaru
